Ross resets outdoor vault mark

AKRON, Ohio -- Freshman pole vaulter Erin Ross (Amherst/Amherst) cleared 9 feet, 7 inches Saturday at the University of Akron's Campbell/Wright Open.

The vault was a personal-best for Ross, and represented a Fredonia State school record. She held the previous outdoor mark of 9'6". She also in the school-record holder indoors (9'0").

Junior throw Jennifer Galvin (Pompey/Fabius-Pompey) also participated in the Campbell/Wright Open.
