Devils sweep Behrend

FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Fredonia State improved to 18-11 with a 3-0 home win Tuesday over Penn State Behrend.

Honored before the game as the team's lone senior, JaHanna Dixon (Hamburg/Frontier) rose to the occasion with 12 kills, 14 digs, and four blocks.

In addition, junior Leanne Maloney (West Seneca/Mount Mercy) had nine kills and 16 digs while junior Alyssa Torpy (West Henrietta) connected for 10 digs, 35 assists, and four blocks.

Freshman Kaitlin Erdmann (Randolph) also had four kills.

The Blue Devils have a week off before their next match, Oct. 16, at the University of Rochester. They close out the home portion of their schedule Oct. 19 and Oct. 20 when SUNYAC Pool Play in held in Dods Hall.
