The Blue Devils will now play for the SUNYAC Championship vs. Cortland on Saturday. The Devils won 30-25, 30-28, 29-31 and 30-17 against the Hawks who had swept Geneseo 3-0 in the first round on Thursday. The Devils were led by Amy Bertrando (Westfield) with 17 kills. Leanne Maloney (West Seneca/Mount Mercy) added 15 kills and 20 digs. JaHanna Dixon (Hamburg/Frontier) and Jenna Tatu (Tonawanda/Kenmore West) chipped in 11 kills apiece. Dixon also had a team best 25 digs. The Blue Devils (26-12) will face host Cortland (30-10) at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Cortland defeated Brockport 3-1 (30-19, 30-18, 25-30, and 30-13) earlier in the day to advance. The 26 wins for the Devils also extends the team season-win mark, besting the previous school mark of 24 set in 2003 and 1997.
