DeGolier wins Chancellor's Award

FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Already cited for her performance on the court, Fredonia State senior volleyball player Stephanie DeGolier has also been cited for her performance in the classroom.

DeGolier, a middle hitter from Cassadaga, N.Y., is one of seven student-athletes -- one in each sport -- to receive a SUNYAC 2006 Fall Chancellor's Scholar-Athlete Award.

A childhood education major with a concentration in French, DeGolier was recognized for having the highest grade-point average from among the women chosen to the 2006 SUNYAC all-conference team in volleyball.

Before Fredonia State, DeGolier attended Jamestown Community College, where she was first team all-region, first team all-conference, and earned a scholar-athlete leadership award. She is a graduate of Cassadaga Valley High School.
