The Blue Devils (7-2) rallied from two games down to defeat Washington & Jefferson by scores of 27-30, 26-30, 36-34, 31-29 and 15-11 in the first of two matches Saturday. A 30-15, 30-29 and 30-15 victory over D'Youville completed the four-match sweep. On Friday, the Blue Devils defeated Principia and Bethany by match scores of 3-2. Senior setter Traci Pieczynski (Lancaster/St. Mary's) was chosen tournament most valuable player. She had 162 assists in the four matches, including 55 in a 23-30, 30-24, 30-23, 20-30 and 15-10 victory Friday over Bethany and another 55 vs. Washington & Jefferson. Joining her on the all-tournament team was Bethany Kibbe (San Antonio, Texas/John Marshall). Kibbe had 20 kills and 32 digs vs. W&J and 22 kills and 21 digs in a 21-30, 30-8, 30-20, 22-30 and 15-11 victory over Principia. Athletics Home | Fredonia Home
