The Blue Devils opened with a straight-set 30-9, 30-17, 30-22 over Mount St. Mary. They followed that up with a 30-21, 30-22, 30-21 win over Union College to improve to 3-1 in the tournament, 14-10 overall. Against Mount St. Mary, sophomore outside hitter Amy Bertrando (Westfield/Westfield) led the offensive with 16 kills. Junior outside hitter JaHanna Dixon (Hamburg/Frontier) had five kills, 12 digs, and five service aces. Sophomore setter Alyssa Torpy (West Henrietta/Rush-Henrietta) collected 27 assists and had five digs. In match two vs. Union, Bertrando had 12 kills, five digs, and two blocks while Dixon connected for eight kills. She also had 14 digs, four service aces, and three blocks. In addition, sophomore outside hitter Leanne Maloney (West Seneca/Mount Mercy) was credited with 11 digs and seven kills, while Torpy had 31 assists, seven digs, and three blocks. Bertrando was named to the all-tournament team.
