Dixon cited by SUNYAC
FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Reigning Fredonia State Athlete of the Week JaHanna Dixon was cited as the SUNYAC Volleyball Player of the Week.
Dixon (Hamburg/Frontier) was named Most Valuable Player at the Union College Invitational as she led the Blue Devils to a 4-0 record and the tournament title. She registered "double-doubles" in three matches, finishing with 14 kills and 10 digs in a 3-0 win over New Paltz, 18 kills and 12 digs in a 3-1 victory against Union and 15 kills and a career-high 21 digs in a 3-2 triumph over Skidmore.
In five matches during the week, Dixon averaged 3.3 kills and 2.8 digs per game. Fredonia improved to 21-5 with five wins during the week and is fourth in the latest New York State Women's Collegiate Athletic Association (NYSWCAA) rankings.
