Devils down Pitt-Bradford

FREDONIA, N.Y. – Fredonia State's home opener resulted in a 3-0 victory over Pitt-Bradford.

The match scores were 30-22, 31-29 and 30-22.

Senior middle hitter Heather Martin (Allegany/Allegany-Limestone) led the Blue Devils (7-3) with 10 kills, nine digs and three blocks.

Junior setter Traci Pieczynski (Lancaster/St. Mary's) had 16 assists and four service aces.

Freshman defensive specialist Allyson Strein (Mineola/Mineola) collected nine digs, freshman JaHanna Dixon (Hamburg/Frontier) eight digs, junior defensive specialist Kim Schmitz (Derby/Lake Shore) nine assists, and freshman outside hitter Paula Baire (Lancaster/Nardin) four service aces.

The Blue Devils are back in action Friday and Saturday at the Union Tournament.
