Fisher sweeps Devils

PITTSFORD, N.Y. – Fredonia State fell to 10-5 with a 3-0 loss Tuesday night at St. John Fisher.

Senior middle hitter Heather Martin (Allegany/Allegany-Limestone) led the way with nine kills and 10 digs. Junior defensive specialiste Kim Schmitz (Derby/Lake Shore) had a team-high 13 digs.

Also, junior middle hitter Elizabeth Schaller (Lancaster/St. Mary's) was credited with five kills and a .400 hitting percentage, while freshman outside hitter Laura Stultz (Spencerport/Spencerport) had two digs and two kills.

The Blue Devils will compete Friday and Saturday in SUNYAC Pool Play at Brockport.
