The Blue Devils (21-14) fell to Rochester in the first match 30-24, 30-17 and 30-22. New Paltz vanquished the Blue Devils in the second match in three 30-25 games. Against Rochester, senior Heather Martin (Allegany/Allegany-Limestone) had team highs with nine kills, six aces, 19 digs and one block. Freshman JaHanna Dixon (Hamburg/Frontier) also had nine kills and junior Kim Schmitz (Derby/Lake Shore) collected 10 digs in the match. Against New Paltz, Dixon was the Devils' top hitter with 11 kills while Martin had eight kills, four aces, 13 digs, and two blocks. Also, sophomore Karen Francis (Batavia/Batavia) had seven kills while Schmitz and freshmen Allyson Strein (Mineola/Mineola) and Paula Baire (Lancaster/Nardin) had 12, 11 and 10 digs, respectively.
