Senior middle hitter Heather Martin (Allegany/Allegany-Limestone) --- selected to the all-tournament team --- keyed the 30-28, 28-30, 17-30, 30-16, 15-8 triumph in the early morning match vs. Lebanon Valley. She had 16 kills, 14 digs, and five blocks. Defensively, junior Kim Schmitz (Derby/Lake Shore) and freshman Allyson Strein (Mineola/Mineola) collected 16 digs each. Freshman outside hitter JaHanna Dixon (Hamburg/Frontier) was a contributor at the net with 11 kills and two blocks. Junior outside hitter Traci Pieczynski (Lancaster/St. Mary's) was the leading playmaker (48 assists) and server (7 aces). Later in the morning, the Blue Devils (3-2 overall) fell to SUNYAC foe Geneseo 30-26, 21-30, 30-23, 30-23. Martin had a game-high 21 digs to go along with 10 kills. Among the other statistical leaders, Dixon recorded 11 kills and four digs, Strein 15 digs, and junior middle hitter Elizabeth Schaller (Lancaster/St. Mary's) six kills and one block.
