Devils second at Union Tournament

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Two wins on Saturday enabled the Fredonia State Blue Devils to nail down second place in the Union College Tournament.

Senior middle hitter Heather Martin (Allegany/Allegany-Limestone) was selected to the all-tournament team following her team's 3-0 victory over Hartwick College.

Earlier Saturday, the Blue Devils (10-4) defeated Union, 3-1.

The tournament opened Friday for the Blue Devils with a 3-2 loss to Skidmore College, the eventual champs, and a 3-0 bounce-back victory over Utica.

Fredonia State's next match is Tuesday at St. John Fisher, a tuneup for the first round of SUNYAC Pool Play next Friday at Brockport.
