Fredonia State led by as many as nine points in the first half -- including 9-0 -- but trailed 28-25 at halftime. The Blue Devils (6-10, 1-7 SUNYAC) led twice in the second half, both times by one point, including 37-36 on a free throw by junior Leisel Renaud (Brooklyn/Humanities Prep) with 13:43 remaining. The Lakers (8-8, 3-5 SUNYAC) led thereafter, with a 12-point advantage in the final minute their largest lead of athe night. Oswego's Sam Driscoll led her team with 22 points, including 12 of 12 from the foul line. The Lakers had a 23-9 scoring advantage from the stripe. The Blue Devils had four starters in double figures with junior Angela Pucciarelli (Fredonia) leading the way with 15 points. It was her fourth straight game in double figures. Senior Maria Scaffidi (Buffalo/Holy Angels) added 12 points and six assists, senior Cheryl Kindzia (Williamsville/Williamsville North) had 11 points, and sophomore Alexandria Haitz (Batavia/Notre Dame) finished with 10 points. The fifth starter, senior Michelle Bull (Machias/Pioneer), grabbed a season-high 10 rebounds. The Blue Devils face Brockport at Steele Hall at 6 p.m. Feb. 1. -------
