Down by as many as 10 points twice, the Blue Devils (5-5) twice pulled to within three points before they were turned aside by the hosts (7-4). The first comeback try stalled after Alexandria Haitz (Batavia/Notre Dame) made a jumper to cut the Blue Devil deficit to 46-43 with 5:52 left. Lycoming pushed back out to a 55-45 lead with 1:42 remaining, only to trigger an 8-1 Fredonia State run consisting of two three-point baskets by Maria Scaffidi (Buffalo/Holy Angels) and a basket by Cheryl Kindzia (Williamsville/Williamsville South). Scaffidi's second trey came with :04 seconds left, followed by a Blue Devil timeout, and a foul to send Lycoming to the line. A missed free throw was rebounded by Lycoming's Jessica Nabholz, and she made a pair of shots to close the scoring. An all-tourney selection, Kindzia finished with 19 points and 12 rebounds, her second double-double in as many days and her seventh of the season. Scaffidi added 18 rebounds, six rebounds, and four assists. -------
