Kindzia accounted for 30 points on 14 of 21 shooting from the floor. She also chipped in with eight rebounds. Sophomore Danielle Bleecker (Pittsford/Pittsford-Mendon) added 11 points, five rebounds and three blocked shots. Junior Lisa Gentile (Utica/Whitesboro) had a game-high 14 rebounds for Fredonia State. The Blue Devils held a 31-23 lead at the half, but turned things up a notch in the second frame. They shot a blistering 56% (20 of 36) from the field, including 4 of 7 (57%) from three point land, in outscoring Lycoming 46-28 in the second half. Guards Maria Scaffidi (Buffalo/Holy Angels) and Karolyn Baker (Olean/Olean) had productive nights on both ends of the floor. Scaffidi had nine points, four steals, six assists and five rebounds. Baker had a line of nine points, three steals, seven assists and five boards. Andrea Cooper led Lycoming with 15 points and 10 rebounds. The Devils (1-0) will take on host St. John Fisher in the championship game tomorrow at 4 p.m.
