Devils heat up in second half to down Potsdam

POTSDAM, N.Y. -- Fredonia State overcame a 7-point halftime deficit to defeat Potsdam, 66-49, in a SUNYAC women's basketball game Saturday.

The Blue Devils (14-7, 9-5 SUNYAC) outscored their hosts 45-21 in the second half to win the game in a romp. After shooting 22.7 percent in the first half, they connected on 44.4 percent in the second half.

Lisa Gentile (Utica/Whitesboro) led the Fredonia State scoring with 23 points. Cheryl Kindzia (Williamsville/Williamsville North) added 14 points and nine rebounds.

The Blue Devils close out the regular season with three games in the upcoming week beginning with a road contest Feb. 14 at Penn State Behrned. They return to Steele Hall for home games next Friday and Saturday.
