Devils roll over SUNYIT

FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Sophomore guard Danielle Bleecker (Pittsford/Pittsford-Mendon) had 17 points to lead Fredonia State past the SUNYIT Wildcats, 69-44, in SUNYAC action.

The Blue Devils improved to 15-8 overall, 10-5 in the SUNYAC with one regular-season game remaining: at home Saturday vs. Cortland (6 p.m.).

After shooting 33.3 percent in the first half (11 of 33), the Blue Devils heated up to 17 of 34 in the second half. Bleecker was 8 of 15 from the field. She also pulled down six rebounds.

Sohpomore guard Maria Scaffidi (Buffalo/Holy Angels) added nine points and four assists. Sophomore Cheryl Kindzia (Williamsville/Williamsville North) added eight points and eight rebounds.

Stephanie Stokes (Watertown) had 12 points to lead the Wildcats (5-18, 1-14 SUNYAC).
