Cortland got as close as two points, 48-46, on a three-point play by Maye with 5:19 remaining. Scaffidi put the game out of reach with a 15-footer from the left corner, followed by a driving lay-up, for a 58-50 Blue Devil lead with 1:19 left. The 1991-92 team posted a 16-13 record, which stood as the most wins in a single season. Furthermore, the Blue Devils defeated Cortland for the second straight season, and improved to 10-1 at home during the 2005-06 season. Both teams are bound for the SUNYAC Tournament and first-round games Tuesday. The Blue Devils will meet either Geneseo or Oneonta.
