Devils finish season on a high note
FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Fredonia State closed out its season with a 69-36 home win over Morrisville State.
Senior forward Cheryl Kindzia (Williamsville/Williamsville North) closed out her stellar collegiate career with her 14th double-double of the season -- 18 points and 13 rebounds. She leaves the program as its all-time leading scorer (1,370 points) and rebounder (852 rebounds).
Senior guard Maria Scaffidi (Buffalo/Holy Angels) added 12 points, nine rebounds, and five assists. She finished as No. 3 all-time in three-point baskets (98) and No. 5 in assists (272). In addition, junior forward Angela Pucciarelli (Fredonia) added 10 points.
Trisha Kaufman (East Aurora) led the Mustangs (0-21, 0-16 SUNYAC) with 14 points.
In addition to Kindzia and Scaffidi, senior forward Michelle Bull (Machias/Pioneer) was playing in her final game.
