Kindzia named to All-SUNYAC First Team

FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Fredonia State senior forward Cheryl Kindzia (Williamsville/Williamsville North) has been chosen First Team All SUNYAC for the second time.

Kindzia led SUNYAC this season with 9.9 rebounds per game. In addition, her 17.7 per game scoring average was third in the conference. She was also first in defensive rebounds (7.0/game), sixth in field-goal accuracy (47.5 percent), 11th in free-throw accuracy (75.4 percent), 12th in steals (1.92/game), sixth in blocked shots (1.21/game), and second in minutes played (35.54/game).

Kindzia was previously chosen First Team SUNYAC after the 2005-06 season -- her sophomore year -- and was a Second Team choice her junior year. She capped her four-year collegiate career by becoming Fredonia State's all-time leading scorer (1,370 points) and rebounder (852 rebounds).
