Late free throws trip Devils

GENESEO N.Y. – Two free throws by Geneseo's Jessica Chambers with :04 left lifted her team to a 59-58 SUNYAC win Friday over Fredonia State.

The Blue Devils (13-10, 8-7) led by as many as 14 points in the second half before falling behind.

Senior Heather Martin (Allegany/Allegany-Limestone) led the scoring with 17 points.

Sophomore Karolyn Baker (Olean/Olean) added 16 points and had six assists.

Senior Amanda Neamon (Arcade/Pioneer) recorded her sixth straight double-double with 13 points and 15 rebounds.

In addition, freshman Cheryl Kindzia (Williamsville/Williamsville North) grabbed seven rebounds and blocked four shots.

The Blue Devils close out the regular season Saturday at home against Cortland. Game time is 6 p.m.
