Slow start leads to loss on the road

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – Fredonia State was limited to 14 points in the first half and fell to Plattsburgh, 53-45, in SUNYAC action Friday.

The Blue Devils (8-6, 3-4) shot only 26 percent and trailed 26-14 at halftime. They finished at 28.3 percent in the game, including 3 of 18 from three-point range.

Heather Martin (Allegany/Allegany-Limestone) was the lone Blue Devil in double figures with 16 points. Amanda Neamon (Arcade/Pioneer) grabbed 12 rebounds and had nine points.

Fredonia State is back in action 2 p.m. Saturday at Potsdam.
