Crowley, Bushen play in first NYSWCAA Senior All-Star Game

ONEONTA, N.Y. – Fredonia State women's basketball players Clare Crowley (Buffalo/Mount Mercy) and Amy Bushen (Hamburg/Immaculata) participated March 7 in the first New York State Women's Collegiate Athletic Association's Senior All-Star Game.

Crowley finished with 12 points and Bushen had four points and four assists as their South team defeated the North, 68-63, at Hartwick College in Oneonta.

It was the first time the NYSWCAA has sponsored a game for college seniors from across the state.

"We are proud to sponsor this prestigious event," NYSWCAA Executive Director Victoria Chun said. "(The players) are outstanding student-athletes … (and) we could not think of a better way for these young women to cap off their intercollegiate basketball careers."

Crowley played four seasons at Fredonia State and became the fifth player since the 1986-87 season to surpass 1,000 points. She was Second Team All-SUNYAC as a junior and an Honorable Mention choice this season, in which she averaged 9.8 points and 6.6 rebounds.

Bushen was also a four-year Blue Devil who advanced to second among the Fredonia State assist leaders dating back to the 1986-87 season.
