Kelly Mraz had 15 points and nine assists for the Lakers (2-0). She was named the most valuable player of the tournament. Down 42-27 at halftime, the Blue Devils (1-1) outscored the Lakers 31-29 in the second half. Sophomore Melissa Howlett (Avon/Honeoye Falls-Lima) had 19 points in 12 minutes of duty. Senior Katie Estes (Olean/Olean) and freshman Daniele Bleecker (Pittsford/Pittsford-Mendon) were selected to the all-tournament team. Estes had 14 points and six rebounds against Oswego. Bleecker added 10 points. Freshman Cheryl Kindzia (Wiliamsville/Williamsville North) led Fredonia State with seven rebounds.
