OT Nazareth goal ends Devils' season

BROCKPORT, N.Y. -- Fredonia State had its asprations of an ECAC Upstate New York title dashed, falling to Nazareth 1-0 in overtime on Saturday.

Nazareth junior Kelly Finn found net 1:36 into overtime to secure the victory. Up to that point, sophomore goalkeeper Becky Scroger (Spencerport) had recorded 12 saves.

Nazareth held a 19-7 advantage in shots, including an 11-2 advantage in the first half. The Golden Flyers (13-6-2) also had a 6-4 edge in corner kicks.

Nazareth will vie with Brockport in the ECAC title at noon Sunday.

The Blue Devils (8-8-4) will graduate one senior, four-time All SUNYAC defender Danielle Bleecker (Pittsford/Pittsford-Mendon).
