Danielle Bleecker (Pittsford/Pittsford Mendon) and Abbey Saxby (Ontario/Wayne) also had goals for the Blue Devils (1-2-2), who overcame a 2-1 deficit in the final 10 minutes. Weiser, a senior forward, started the scoring at the 2:42 mark with an unassisted goal, her second goal of the season and the 25th of her college career. She surpassed the previous school record of 24 career goals shared by Amy Zeiser (1992-94) and Beth Mangino (1991-94). St. John Fisher took a 2-1 lead on goals by Jen Blais and Angelo Coco early in the second half. It stayed that way until Bleecker scored an unassisted goal at the 81:37 mark to forge a 2-2 tie. Saxby scored the game-winning goal on a penalty kick with 1:34 left in the contest. Fredonia State had a 15-11 advantage in shots. Blue Devil goalkeeper Becky Scroger (Spencerport/Spencerport) was credited with four saves. The Blue Devils turn to SUNYAC competition this weekend. They have road games Friday at New Paltz and Saturday at Oneonta. Weiser will enter play with 59 career points, one shy of former teammate Katie Remus and two short of Robinson, the all-time school points leader. Athletics Home | Fredonia Home
