Brittany Bennett scored at 11:11 for the Hawks (3-3-1, 1-0-1 SUNYAC) while the visiting Blue Devils (1-4-1, 0-1-1 SUNYAC) were kept off the board by Sarah Boccard (7 saves) and company. The Blue Devils took 18 shots, nine on net, with sophomore forward Lauren Heilweil (Binghamton/Chenango Forks) leading the team with five shots. Senior defender Danielle Bleecker (Pittsford/Pittsford-Mendon) took four and junior defender Sarah Stewart (Jamestown) took three, all of them on goal. For the second straight game, the Fredonia State goalkeeping duties were shared by junior Becky Scroger (Spencerport) and freshman Molly Bojanek (Williamsville/Williamsville East). Each woman logged 45 minutes of playing time, with Scroger registering two saves and Bojanek five. The Blue Devils head to Oneonta to face the No. 15 Red Dragons at 1 p.m. Saturday in another SUNYAC match.
