Fredonia scoring was led by freshman Rachel Mimken (Fairport) who scored two goals, including the first of her collegiate career. Scoring was opened up in seventh minute of the match by freshman Jessica Loretz (Endwell/Maine Endwell). Adding to the score was freshman Angela Beck (Randolph/Randolph). Mimken's first goal of the game and another by Julie LaPolla (Penfield/Penfield) in the thirty-eighth minute closed out the four-goal first half for the Blue Devils. SUNYIT scored in the opening minutes of the second half, as senior forward Brittany Aversa (Mohawk) made it a 4-1 game. The Blue Devils quickly struck back a few moments later with a goal from sophomore Lauren Heilweil (Binghamton/Chenango Forks), her third of the season. Junior Jacki Borcyk (Rochester/Greece Odyssey) also netted one for the Blue Devils in the second half. Scoring was closed out when Mimken put in her second goal of the day, securing the Blue Devils 7-1 victory. The Blue Devils (4-5-1, 2-2-1 SUNYAC) are back in action on the road this Tuesday at St. John Fisher at 7 p.m.
