Rowan blanks Devils, 2-0, at St. Mary's Md. tourney

ST, MARY'S, Md. -- Fredonia State freshman goalkeeper Becky Scroger (Spencerport/Spencerport) made nine saves but it wasn't enough to keep her team from falling to 0-2 this season.

The Blue Devils yielded two second-half goals in a 2-0 loss to Rowan College on the second day of the 2005 Adidas/Seahawk Women's Soccer Classic at St. Mary's Md.

The Blue Devils were outshot, 20-3, with Jessica Weiser (Rochester/Greece Athena) taking two of the shots.

Next game for the team at noon Fri., Sept. 9 in the first round of the Fredonia State Days Inn Tournament vs. Hiram College.
