OSWEGO, N.Y. – Fredonia State traded goals Saturday with Oswego State in an eventual 2-2 SUNYAC tie.

Junior Jessica Weiser (Rochester/Greece Athena) continued her climb up the Fredonia State all-time scoring list with her seventh goal of the season. Senior Amy DeBarbieri (Portville/Portville) assisted on Weiser's goal, which gave the Blue Devils (6-4-2, 2-2-1) a 1-0 lead at 28:30.

Oswego countered with a goal by Adriana Cuadrano (Holley) to notch a 1-1 tie in the 38th minute.

Fredonia State regained the lead, 2-1, as sophomore Abbey Saxby (Ontario/Wayne) drilled a shot into the upper corner of the net from just outside the penalty area in the 40th minute.

Oswego's Maureen Kasperek (Fulton) scored the game-tying goal on a penalty kick in the 66th minute. The score stood at 2-2 through the rest of regulation time and two 10-minute overtimes.

Both goalkeepers, Fredonia State's Briana Falvey (Chittenango/Chittenango) and Oswego's Ashley Distin (Fulton), were credited with three saves.

The Lakers (2-5-2, 1-3-1) had a 14-9 advantage in shots.

Weiser's goal was her 21st at Fredonia State, tying her for second (with Melissa McAuley and Jen Robinson) on the all-time career goals list. The school record for career goals is 24. In addition, Weiser moved into a tie with McAuley for fifth on the all-time points list with 48.
