Blue Devils sink Fisher

FREDONIA, N.Y. – The Fredonia State Blue Devils used four first-period goals to power their way to a 4-0 victory over the visiting Cardinals of St. John Fisher.

Jessica Weiser (Rochester/Greece Athena) scored the first two goals. She was assisted by Erin Schurr (Hamburg/Hamburg) and Tracy Grimes (Rochester/Greece Olympia).

Freshman Jess Weinberger (Pittsford/Pittsford Mendon) scored her first career goal to put the Blue Devils up 3-0. Fellow freshman Amy O'Neill (Jamestown/Jamestown) also earned her first collegiate score with 5:41 remaining in the first period.

Fredonia goalkeeper Brianna Falvey (Chittenango/Chittenango) made three saves in recording her third shutout of the season. The Blue Devils are now 4-2-1 on the season. Fisher drops to 1-4.
