With the score tied 4-4, Freshman Sierra Summerville (Mexico/Mexico) securred the team victory with a 6-4, 6-4 victory at No. 4 singles. Other singles winners for the Blue Devils (2-7) were freshman Elise Daigler (North Tonawanda/North Tonawanda), and sophomore Rachel LaPaglia (Fredonia/Fredonia). Summerville and Daigler combined for a victory at No. 2 doubles, while junior Ellen Engel (Rochester/Irondequoit) and sophomore Amy Sacca (Saratoga Springs/Saratoga Springs) combined for a win at No. 3 doubles. Fredonia State visits Thiel on Thursday (Sept. 29) before closing out the home portion of its season Saturday (Oct. 1) vs. Oneonta starting at 11 a.m.. -------- Fredonia State 5, Roberts Wesleyan 4 -- Singles: Grace Swick (RW) d.
