Schaller, Galvin are BW winners for Blue Devils

BEREA, Ohio – Junior Elizabeth Schaller (Marilla/St. Mary's) won two events and senior Jennifer Galvin (Pompey/Fabius-Pompey) won one event and was second in another Friday at the Baldwin-Wallace Mid-February Meet.

Schaller won the long jump (16' 6") and the triple jump (34 10.25") while Galvin was victorius in the weight throw (48' 3.25") and was second in the shot put (39' 1.25").

Other second-place finishers were senior hurdler Krista Morse (Freedom/Pioneer), sophomore pole vaulter Erin Ross (Amherst/Amherst), and sophomore middle-distance runner Rachel McNamara (Lakeview/Nardin).

Ross pole vaulted 9' 5.75", Morse ran a personal-best 9.33 seconds in the 55-meter hurdles, and McNamara had a season-best 2:24.42 in the 800-meter run.

Also, senior Dani Pendl (Patchogue/Patchogue-Medford) qualified at 5,000 meters for the SUNYAC Championships. In the same event, sophomore Ashley Tramp (Buffalo/Kenmore East) lowered her personal best 5,000-meter time by nearly 30 seconds.
