Milks twins second, third in 400-meter dash

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- A second-place finish by Stephanie Milks (Binghamton/Chenango Forks) was among the top performances by Blue Devil women competing Saturday at the U.B. Championships.

Milks was second in the 400-meter dash in 1:01.87. Twin sister Aimee Milks (Binghamton/Chenango Forks) was third in the same race.

In the women's hammer throw, Jennifer Galvin (Pompey/Fabius-Pompey) was third at 42.96 meters. Also, Meredith Schichtel (Frontier/Hamburg) was third in the javelin at 28.65 meters.

Samantha Ellwood (Hamburg/Hamburg) was sixth in the 5,000-meter run in 19:40.23.
