Galvin earns ECAC weekly honor

CAPE COD, Mass. – Senior thrower Jennifer Galvin (Pompey/Fabius-Pompey) has been selected Female Field Athlete of the Week by the Easter College Athletic Conference.

Galvin was a double winner Saturday at the University of Rochester Tri-Meet on Dec. 3. She won the women's weight throw with a toss of 48 feet, 2 1/2 inches. Later in the meet, she won the shot put with a throw of 36 feet, 9 3/4 inches.

Galvin won the defending NYSCTC outdoor champ in the discus and the defending SUNYAC outdoor champ in the discus and the hammer throw.
