Dani Pendl led the Blue Devil women to a seventh-place finish. She finished 12th overall, six places ahead of Rachel McNamara. The men --- ninth overall --- were led by freshman and 24th-place finisher Michael Pond. Head coacn Nolan Swanson said Chris Mills, the top returning male runner, missed the meet because of a knee injury. Swanson also held out several women who are readying themselves for the next meet, Sept. 11, hosted by Rochester Institute of Technology.
