The Blue Devil men tied for 10th out of 32 teams, while the women were 11th of 28 teams. Andy Forma (Elma/St. Francis) had the day's best placing by a Blue Devil. Forma, a junior, finished 27th overall in 26:30.5 for 8,000 meters. Next best for the men was sophomore Michael Pond (Somers/Somers), who was 36th overall in 26:44.2. He was followed by junior Jason Smith (Queensbury/Queensbury), senior David Mink (Rensselaer/Columbia), and junior Kevin Buzzelli (Grand Island/Grand Island). The quintet combined for 314 points, tied for Rensselaer Institute of Technology for 10th. Freshman Matthew Wysocki (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa) and freshman Chris Walters (Tonawanda/Sweet Home) were sixth and seventh, respectively, for the Blue Devils. The men were 20th in the 2004 Atlantic Regional. For the Blue Devil women, junior Ashley Tramp (Buffalo/Kenmore East) was the team's No. 1 runner -- and 29th overall -- in 23:53.5 for 6,000 meters. Junior Rachel McNamara (Lakeview/Nardin) was 62nd, junior Aimee Milks (Binghamton/Chenango Forks) 67th, sophomore Samantha Ellwood (Hamburg/Hamburg) 83rd, and senior Alison Morgan (Hilton/Hilton) 88th. They had 329 points overall. The next two women to finish for Fredonia State were senior Elizabeth Luebbe (Irondequoit/West Irondequoit), who was 89th, and freshman Trisha Ippoloito (Angola/Lake Shore), who was 103rd.
