The Fredonia State women tied Rochester Institute of Technology for ninth place. The men were led by 12th place finisher junior Andy Forma (Elma/St. Francis), who covered 8,000 meters in 26:58.7. Rounding out the top five were sophomore Michael Pond (Somers/Somers), junior Jason Smith (Queensbury/Queensbury), junior Kevin Buzzelli (Grand Island/Grand Island), and senior David Mink (Rensselaer/Columbia). There were 16 full men's teams in the meet. The Blue Devil men were 11th at last year's NYSCTC meet. In the women's meet, junior Ashley Tramp (Buffalo/Kenmore East) finished 22nd overall -- first for her team -- and went under the 19-minute mark for the first time ever. Tramp's personal-best time was 18:56. Fredonia State's other scorers were junior Aimee Milks (Binghamton/Chenango Forks), junior Rachel McNamara (Lakeview/Nardin), senior Elizabeth Luebbe (Irondequoit/West Irondequoit), and sophomore Samantha Ellwood (Hamburg/Hamburg). In addition, Fredonia State's sixth-place finisher, senior Alison Morgan (Hilton/Hilton), was 74th overall, while RIT's sixth-best runner was 100th. There were 17 women's teams in the meet.
