![]() Sports Information Department – 112 Dods Hall CONTACT: Jerry Reilly, FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASECross CountryRunning camp to feature Olympian as instructorFREDONIA, N.Y. -- Former U.S. Olympian Nick Rogers will be a guest coach at the 2006 Fredonia State Running Camp beginning July 31. A 2000 Sydney Olympian at 5000 meters, Rogers instruct campers and speak about his running experiences for the entire week of the camp, which concludes Aug. 3. This will be Rogers's second visit to the Fredonia State campus. He met with the Blue Devil cross country teams during the 2004 season as a favor to head coach Nolan Swanson, a personal friend. Swanson, a two-time All American at Wake Forest, and Rogers are former training partners. Both have also run professionally.
