Top Devil trios 3rd at Rag Relays

EDINBORO, Pa. -- Fredonia State had both third-place teams Saturday at the Edinboro Rag Relays.

The event is run in relay style and broken down into segments of 1,500 meters per leg. Three men per team run four legs each, and three women run three legs each.

Based on their cumulative times, the trio of senior David Mink (Rensselaer/Columbia), sophomore Mike Pond (Somers/Somers), and junior Andy Forma (Elma/St. Francis) was Fredonia State's best group. Their total time was 58:07, led by Mink's 19:06 for 6,000 meters.

Junior Jason Smith (Queensbury/Queensbury) had the second-best time by a Fredonia State runner, 19:14, while running with the fifth-place trio.

The best trio of Fredonia State women consisted of junior Rachel McNamara (Lakeview/Nardin), junior Aimee Milks (Binghamton/Chenango Forks), and junior Ashley Tramp (Buffalo/Kenmore East), with a 52:20 cumulative time. Tramp's 16:57 for 4,500 meters was the best of the three. Milks was second best with 17:22.

Next Saturday (Oct. 1), the Blue Devils will participate in Geneseo Invitational.
