REGIONAL RECOGNITION
A trio of Devils recieved regional recognition on Monday. Senior captains Rob Herrmann and Don Kirsch were named to the Rawlings/ABCA New York Region Third Team, and Joe Kephart, left, was the fifth Devil in three years to make the New York Region Gold Glove squad.

FOND FAREWELL
Eight seniors made their final performance in a Blue Devil uniform count. Justin Nowak tossed a complete game, and the seven other seniors each had at least two hits apiece, as Fredonia State defeated Medaille, 13-5.

WORTH THE WAIT
The Devils won a SUNYAC contest in walk-off fashion for the second time in two days, downing Oneonta 4-3. In a game that was began a month ago, the Devils wasted little time in claiming win No. 20 on the season. Tommy Dee, above, came up with the big hit and winning run.

Fredonia State and Oswego split a pair of SUNYAC pitchers’ duels Saturday. The Blue Devils won the opener with a run in the ninth inning, while the Lakers bounced back for a 2-0 victory in the nightcap.

With a stiff, hitter-friendly breeze blowing out most of the day, Hilbert and the Devils combined for 33 runs and five homers. In the end, the Devils would claim victories in both ends of the double-dip, 11-9, and 8-5. Matt LaPorte (pictured) reached base six times on the day.

HERRMANN NAMED COLLEGIATE LEAGUE ALL STAR
Rob Herrmann was named to the Carolina-Virginia Collegiate League all star team this past summer. The three-time all SUNYAC selection led the Carolina Hurricanes with a .347 batting average.

BASILE, GRECO THRICE HONOREDThe Devils' 1-2 punch of Jordan Basile and Josh Greco have been honored with their third post-season award following the 2009 season. Both had been named to the All SUNYAC and ABCA All Region teams, and were recently named to the ECAC All Star team.
Taylor Gahgen was one of two Devils to earn an
ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove award.
