BASILE, GRECO THRICE HONORED
The Devils' 1-2 punch of Jordan Basile and Josh Greco have been honored with their third post-season award following the 2009 season. Both had been named to the All SUNYAC and ABCA All Region teams, and were recently named to the ECAC All Star team.

Taylor Gahgen was one of two Devils to earn an ABCA/Rawlings
Gold Glove award.

FIVE DEVILS HONORED BY ABCA
Following the Blue Devils' record-setting season, five Devils were honored by the ABCA. Ricky Carlson, Jordan Basile and Josh Greco were named to the all-region team, while Jeremy Borst and Taylor Gahagen received ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Awards.

END OF THE LINE FOR BLUE DEVILS
The Blue Devils' winningest season came to an end Sunday with a 6-2 loss to Brockport in the semifinal round of the ECAC Upstate Baseball championship. Later in the day, St. John Fisher defeated Brockport, 12-3, to become tournament champions.

The Blue Devils took advantage of the friendly confines of Ludwig Field to sweep the visiting Plattsburgh Cardinals, 7-4 and 6-4. The Devils improved to 20-6 overall, and 8-1 at the 'Wig.

A three-run rally in the bottom of the sixth propelled the Devils to a 3-2 win and doubleheader sweep over Plymouth State. The Devils received a complete game from senior Matt Saeva to claim game one, 4-1.

The Devils pounded out 34 hits and did not allow a run in defeating Dominican College 12-0 and 10-0 on Friday. Pitchers Ricky Carlson, Tom Hausler and Nick Cummings scattered five hits. Josh Greco drove in five runs.

UPPERCLASSMEN LEAD THE WAY IN '09
The 2009 Blue Devil baseball team features 18 upperclassmen on its roster. The veteran crew will open up on Friday, March 13, in Ft. Myers, Florida, before heading back north to take aim at the SUNYAC crown.

FOR SUMMER OF '09
Junior Rob Herrmann has signed a deal to play with the Carolina Hurricanes of the Carolina-Virginia Collegiate League. The team will play a 25-game league schedule, as well as non-league games throughout North Carolina, Virginia and Georgia.
