Here's a look at the natural grass game field (Brigham Road in the background). Workers began installing the sod the week of Aug. 20-24. Work is expected to continue through October.

Two workers test the in-ground irrigation system, a feature of the new grass field. It also has a state-of-the-art drainage system. The Brigham Road track is in the background.

Ground has been leveled for the all-purpose turf field, located between the grass field and Steele Hall. Turf installation will begin soon.

Light standards were erected Aug. 23 at both fields. Once the project is complete, Blue Devil teams will be able to play -- and practice -- at night.
