Senior midfielder Nate Zinteck (Syracuse, N.Y./Nottingham H.S.) and junior defender Mitch Irish (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport H.S.) were named by conference coaches to the All SUNYAC First Team.

Sophomore goalkeeper Matt Borchard (Williamsville, N.Y./Williamsville South H.S.) and sophomore forward Garrett Hauschild (Skaneateles, N.Y./Skaneateles H.S.) received SUNYAC Honorable Mention.

In addition, Zinteck and Irish were selected Northeast Region Second Team all-stars by the National Soccer Coaches of America Association.

n Zinteck, a Blue Devil co-captain, was leading the team in scoring with 16 points – 14 in conference games, fifth best in SUNYAC – prior to Fredonia State’s 2-1 SUNYAC Tournament semifinal victory Friday over Plattsburgh. His totals included two game-winning goals this season, and 42 points (12 goals, 20 assists) in four seasons, which is tied for 15th on the all-time list. Zinteck has made an appearance on the All SUNYAC teams twice before. He was the 2000 First Year Player of the Year and a 2002 Second Team selection. In addition, he made the 2001 SUNYAC All-Tournament Team.

n Irish had 10 points entering the SUNYAC Tournament semifinal. He, too, is a repeat all-star. As a freshman, he made All SUNYAC Third Team. As a sophomore, he was Second Team All Northeast Region.

n Borchard started the 12 games this season prior to the game Friday. He had three shutouts in conference competition (5 overall) and was fourth in the conference in save percentage (.845) and goals-against average (1.09). He was the SUNYAC Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 27.

n Hauschild had four goals and two assists prior to weekend action. He ranked in the top 20 in four SUNYAC scoring categories: total points (16th), points per game (19th), goals (9th) and goals per game (11th). He was also selected SUNYAC Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 5.
