The Program
The Fredonia State tennis team competes during the fall semester. The women compete in approximately six matches each year, which include both singles and doubles games. Ten new asphalt tennis courts, complete with an underground drainage system and new fencing, have recently been constructed on campus at a cost of $440,000. Stadium lighting has been installed to extend playing and practice hours, and windscreens are utilized to maximize playing conditions.
The program places an emphasis on academics in order to achieve a healthy balance between competition on the courts and concentration in the classroom. the tennis program is an excellent way to become involved in college life while also enjoying the camaraderie of the team sport. Walk-ons are welcome.
