Graduate Biology Program

The Department is proud of the accomplishments of our graduate students. We offer three master's degree programs:

• M.S. in Biology: Thesis
• M.S. in Biology: Non-Thesis
• M.S. in Education: Biology 7-12

Our programs prepare students for positions in industry and government labs, further study at the doctoral level, and qualify provisionally certified teachers for permanent certification in New York State.

These programs serve to prepare students for:

1. admission to Ph.D. programs in the biological and biomedical sciences
2. professional careers in the public and private sectors
3. technical work in education, medical and environmental settings
4. teaching at the secondary education and two-year college levels
