Accounting Society

Mission Statement

The mission of the Accounting Society shall be to support and promote interest in the accounting profession.

Membership Requirements

Membership in the Accounting Society can be earned in any of the following ways:

Meeting Attendance: Anyone who attends more than one-half of the general meetings for a semester is considered an Accounting Society member.

VITA volunteer: Anyone who participates in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program is considered an Accounting Society member.

Leadership position: Anyone who assumes a leadership role in the Accounting Society by coordinating an event or by serving on the executive board is considered an Accounting Society member.

Executive Board

The executive board consists of elected officers and appointed chairs. This body guides the activities and events of this very active student club. The current Executive Board Members are:

President: Shannon Smith
Vice President: Nikki Karchensky
Treasurer: Jennifer Simons
Secretary: Emily Braun
Public Relations Chair: Monica Hopkins
Program Chair: Jenny Mooney and Emily Simson
Special Project Chair: Alicia Mikowicz, Angela Martin, Lyndsey Townsend
