Seminars and Workshop in Central Asia :

 

                  Organized numerous workshops and seminars in the USA and all countries of Central Asia. During     2001-2003 I:

1.     Held a workshop on the use of case study in the teaching of business and economics in Tashkent. 32 administrators and faculty members and 7 students attended the workshop from four different countries of Central Asia.

2.     Held a workshop on the teaching of money, banking and the financial system in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. 24 participants attended the workshop from Turkmenistan.

3.     Attended and participated as a facilitator of a session in the conference on Ethics in Business and Economics in Almaty, KZ.

4.     Prepared sources for grants and donors for international education and for Central Asia for the purpose of making the sources available to administrators at the second annual conference of EDNET in Bishkek, Kg.

5.     Presented a paper on “The Importance of Democratization of Higher Education Institutions In the Improvement of the Quality of Education in Central Asian Countries in Transition”.  At the CEP/ USIS Conference on Ten Years of Reform in Central Asian Countries in Transition, Almaty, April 2002

6.     Presented a paper “Processes of Curriculum and Program Development at Higher Education Institutions in Central Asian Countries in Transition”.  The seminar was held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

7.     Presented a paper “Outline of Some Thoughts on the Teaching of Money, Banking, and Financial Institutions in Countries in Transition”.  The VIP seminar was held in Ferghana in Uzbekistan.

8.     Presented a paper on “The Importance of Teaching Methods in the Teaching and Learning process”.  The seminar was held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.

9.     Presented a paper on the ‘Teaching Microeconomics in Central Asian Countries. The seminar was held at the Educational Network in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

10.   Presented a paper on “The importance of Research in Teaching and Learning” The presentation was at the Third Annual Educational Network Conference that was held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Each of the seminars was attended by an average of 45 university professors and administrators.

 

Most of my papers and abstract of the papers that were presented at the different workshops and seminars were translated to Russian.
