"What can SIFE do for you? SIFE is an international organization that mobilizes university students around the world to make a difference in their communities while developing the skills to become socially responsible business leader."
SIFE (Students In Free Enterprise) is an international network of student, academic and business leaders who have made a commitment to create a better world with better leaders—individuals who have the ability and are willing to put forth the effort to make a meaningful contribution to their communities, and are working together to improve the lives of others.
Working in partnership with business and higher education, SIFE mobilizes university students around the world to use the knowledge gained in the classroom to address real world business and economic issues in their communities. SIFE students form teams on their university campuses and develop outreach projects that teach market economics, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, personal success skills, and business ethics.
The tradition continues here at SUNY Fredonia as the 2008 presentation SIFE Team won their 11th Regional Champion Title at the 2008 Cleveland Regional SIFE Competition held on March 19th. The presentation team consisted of Eileen LeMar, Ashley Brown, Jessyca Riehle, Meg Ludlam, Rachel LaPaglia, Adam Roma, and Paula Baire. The team will now travel to Chicago for the 2008 SIFE National Expo Competition between May 13th-15th and compete against 143 other teams, a total of 3,200+ students. In addition to the competition, the students will attend forums, career fairs, and networking opportunities.
