Department or Program: Criminal Justice

 

Goals

1.   To instill in students a comprehensive knowledge of the field of Criminal Justice.

2.       To present students with a broadly-based curriculum that includes courses in the

social and behavioral sciences, natural sciences, and mathematics.

3.   To develop in students the ability to be critical thinkers.

4.   To enable students to communicate their thoughts effectively in oral and written form.

5.       To teach students to use ethical behavior in applying their knowledge to 

professional issues.

 

G. C. P. Correlation

 

1.       Reflexive thinking : students are presented with frequent opportunities to examine and

evaluate the bases for their own thinking .

2.   Quantitative problem solving: students take statistics, research methods.

3.   Scientific Reasoning: inherent in the discipline.
