ASSESSMENT STATEMENT

 

SELF IMPROVEMENT FOR THE

RESEARCH GRANT POST AWARD OFFICE

 

I.         MISSION

 

The Research Foundation Post Award Office is committed to providing high quality, efficient, and reliable financial management services to all sponsored programs conducted by faculty and staff at the State University College at Fredonia.

 

II.       GOALS/OBJECTIVES

 

1.       Satisfy the Research Foundation Central Office auditors that we are following good accounting practices.

2.       To improve the lines of communication between the post award office and program directors as well as Research Foundation employees.

 

III.      MEASURES OF GOALS

 

1.       Resolve recent audit issues that include cost sharing documentation and personnel activity reporting.

2.       Enhancing interaction between the post award office and project directors and program administrators.

3.       Focus on communicating information to regular employees since Research Foundation employees are usually not part of the campus information system.

 

IV.      RESULTS

 

1.       Resolving and correcting on going audit issues will reduce the number of follow-up audit visits to the campus.

2.       Improved communication between program offices and the post award office will result in a more effective business operation.

3.   Keeping employees informed of current issues will improve employer/employee relations.

 

V.                 FEEDBACK

 

1.   Comments and suggestions from project directors and administrators will be assessed, and if possible, appropriate measures will

      be implemented.

2.   Audit recommendations will be implemented and corrective action taken.
